Background

AC6 Metrología's main activity is the calibration of measurement tools (Industrial Metrology).

Given their ENAC certification as an accredited laboratory, AC6 must control and manage their own measurement tools very tightly, performing periodical calibrations and carrying out a registry of every incident, operation or noteworthy event related to each of their measurement tools.

Following the goal of avoiding the excess use of paper, AC6 contacted Beta Lyrae in order to develop a computer application to manage their Calibration Plan.

The system

The system manages the whole information related to AC6 Metrología measurement tools, with their complete data, event records and related documents, which AC6 staff maintain on the application.

This way, all the documentation regarding AC6 measurement tools is stored centrally. Also, an alert system is available, so that AC6 employees receive a message whenever a measurement tool requires any operation carried out by them. Alerts are only received by workers related to each task by e-mail.

Technical Specifications

This is a Java web application, deployed on a server into AC6 Metrología Local area network (LAN).
