Background

Beta Lyrae, along with Lever Consulting, modelled and documented the processes of the Professional College of Nursery according to ISO 9001 standard, and then implemented them into a IT application with the aim of improving the College Management.

The result is a web application, to be used at the College offices in Pamplona and Tudela, with, among others, these main functionalities:

• Associate professionals sign-in and sign-out processes
• Billing and accounts.
• Courses: programming, attendance applications, control y and generation of certificates
• Classroom and resources reservation
• Associates data complete management
• Automated communications
• Internal processes regarding directors board, commisions, etc.

The system

This is a web application granting access to different users depending on their profiles, following the same model used in Trivium.

The application can be accessed from any standard web browser, as it is completely based on technology standards like html, Javascript and AJAX. Reports are generated on screen, as well as in PDF and Microsoft Excel formats. The billing module uses the AEB standard Bank format, so that the process can be directly connected to the bank via electronic banking.

Technical specifications

This is a web application built on Java Enterprise platform, supporting a high number of concurrent users, and managing highly populated databases.

Automated certificate generation in PDF format and emmail sending are supported.
