Background

Given the sucessful adoption of the Electronic Parts and Accessories Catalogue (EPC), Koxka planned to build a web-based price list, superseding the previously used printed versions. Beta Lyrae was designated to carry out the project.

The system

The Online Price List system presents all the cases sold by Koxka, distributed by categories and families, with their complete information and technical data: photographs, dimensions prices and technical characteristics, as well as all the applicable kits.

The system, available only to registered users via the Koxka website reserved area, offers on-screen data, which can be reached by browsing menus or by direct searching. Users can download a great variety of reports in PDF format, regarding a specific case, a complete family, or even defining their own tailored content from within options offered by the system.

Data displayed are imported from internal Koxka information, via an integrated internal process carried out by Koxka staff.

User management is integrated into Koxka website reserved area, which also manages users and profiles for EPC system.

Technical specifications

This is a web application created on the Java Enterprise platform, using multiple databases. The system can export dynamic PDF files -generated on demand- as well as import its contents from Koxka internal systems, among others.
