Background

Navara Public Employment Service carried out within the European I-CAR-O program, a Competence-based Management methodology for professional employee and position assessment. From that methodology, Beta Lyrae, in close colaboration with Navarra Emplyment Service, CEIN, Navarra Industry Association (AIN) and professionals Begoña Alecha, Marian Salaverría and Pili Ruiz, built Gestor Compete.

The system

Gestor COMPETE is an application supporting the whole data management and reporting process involved in Competence-based Management. Different Person and Position References can be created, each with their competences, indicators, resources etc. From these data, reports can be obtained or Training Plans can be built.

A later version brought the Orientation Module, which can be used by professional orientators, and allows user to create training and professional roadmaps.

Gestor COMPETE offers a wide range of additional functionalities, like data back-up, exporting and importing Position Reference files, or generation of reports in PDF format.

Technical specifications

Based on Beta Lyrae own desktop application abstract platform, built on top of Java Standard Edition, Gestor COMPETE offers a great usability, in a multi-window environment 100% adapted to Microsoft Windows.

The application is installed in a simple way with a standard Windows installer.
